If you have been following my posts for any ammount of time, you know that I love to go out and ride. I love to be outside, and the sense of accomplishment that comes from getting from point A to point B with just the power of your own legs.
But I need to remind you that bike riding is hard. Very hard. There are times I want to quit, but can't because I have no other way home. There are times when I don't get out and ride in the morning before work, even after I have gotten fully dressed to do so. It's easier to go back to bed.
But, like so many things in life we face, its the tough things that make us stronger. Its the discomfort that develops us. It is the stress and release principle that builds muscle.
What about your spiritual life? What are you doing that is very hard to accomplish? What ways are you being stretched, made uncomfortable, or pressed to do more than what you did last week?
Or have you already gotten back into bed?
