One theme that remains consistent in the life of a young growing church, is that change will always be happening! Can you believe it has already been 15 months since we began meeting weekly on Sunday mornings at 10 am? Can you believe that we were able to serve 96 families with Boxes of Love this year? Can you believe that we saw a person accept Christ in November, another in December, and yet another just this past week in January? God is at work, and it has been an unbelievable ride!
Here are a few changes to take note of at Renewal Church. First, Joe and Courtney Laduca have changed their focus from Renewal Students in 2015, to our growing population of young professionals at Renewal. Joe is excited to invest himself in this incredibly important group of people.
Secondly, Renewal Students has changed and merged with the newly launched Celebrate Recovery ministry. Using the Landing curriculum, students are learning how to deal with their own hurts, habits, and hangups. Interested students are encouraged to come join on their new night, Tuesday, and may arrive at 6pm.
Thirdly, Sean Hamel, who leads the Celebrate Recovery ministry team has joined the staff leadership of Renewal Church. CelebrateRecoveryNT officially made its public launch the first Tuesday in January. Sean has been instrumental in getting things off the ground, and recruiting a volunteer force to make it all happen.
What an exciting season it has been! I pray that you will find ways to get plugged in and serve as well. We are looking for high-capacity volunteers interested in summer mission teams, administrative support, children's ministry, and more. If you have already connected and are well suited and ready to serve, roll up your sleeves and get started!
